Spring Intensive program;
An exciting and specific program has been designed for those who wish to
learn Japanese culture and technology. Students can take one of the two
programs: the Cutting-edge Nanotechnology program, and the Japanese Language
& Culture program. Program-related excursions will provide participants
with opportunities to experience Japanese traditional culture and high-tech
companies in Kyoto.

Language base
All lectures in the programs will be given in English.
Non-native speakers should have a level of English proficiency sufficient
to follow these lectures.
Eligible Students
All aplplicants should be second year undergraduate students or above.
All applicants need a high level of English proficiency for the program
equivalent to a TOEFL score of about IBT 80.
Program Fees
Two week program - 50,000 Japanese yen. This includes tuition fees, accommodation
fee, two excursions (Culture & Industrial study), and teavel insurance
fee (two weeks).
Three week program - 150,000 Japanese yen. This includes tuition fees,
accommodation fee, three excursions( Cultural &Industrial study), and
travel insurance fee (three weeks).
Credit
2 credits will be awarded for this program by Osaka University. Participants should ask your universities about the possibility of transferring
credits.
Accommodation
We will offer an off-campus accommodation at JICA in Ibaraki city and in-campus accommodation at Osaka University. Accommodaton fee is included in
the program.
Insurance Fee
It is required for all participants to have appropriate travel insurance.
Program fees include our travel insurance. We recommend two and three week
group plan that we arranged with Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance
Co.applicants.
Note : Two week group plan is for Nanotechnology program participants and three
week group plan is for Japanese Language & Culture program participants.
Excursions
Two excursions will be held on 11th & 12th of February 2010 to Kyoto.

Industrial study trip - February 12, 2010
High- tech corporations in Kyoto.
